The Harvard College Public Service website serves as a hub for all information pertaining to public service at Harvard College. Maintained by the office of the Assistant Dean of Harvard College for Public Service, the website supports communication across all offices and organizations associated with public service advising, funding, internships, events and post-graduate opportunities for students at Harvard College.
Vision: Every Harvard College student should have the opportunity to engage in service to society and to identify how public service fits into his or her life choices.
Mission: As an institution committed to the advancement of knowledge, the promotion of understanding, and service to society, Harvard College promotes and supports engagement in local, national and global service activities. We identify and implement significant public service learning opportunities both within and outside of the classroom and we provide opportunities to explore and to pursue public interest careers.
"We as a university live under the protections of the public trust. It is our obligation to nurture and educate talent to serve that trust — creating the people and the ideas that can change the world." – President Drew Gilpin Faust, 2010 Harvard Commencement Address
