First-Year Day of Service

  • Class of 2021 Day of Service

PBH is excited to invite you to be part of Harvard College's third annual Freshman Day of Service as part of the Class of 2021's Opening Days. This new tradition aims to welcome first-years to the Harvard community through service. The Class of 2021 Day of Service will take place on Saturday, September 2nd, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m, convening at the Science Center Plaza.

This Day of Service sends a clear message to entering students that they are now citizens of Cambridge and Boston and service to society is an expectation at Harvard College. As our students begin school at Harvard College, we are inviting them to serve as citizens and citizen leaders by helping prepare public schools for younger students in our community, as well as other community spaces--primarily clean-up and light landscaping tasks. This Day of Service is also intended to introduce our students to the Cambridge and Boston community and ways they can remain engaged in service during their four years at Harvard College.

Following the Class of 2021 Day of service, we invite you to an ice cream social at the Phillips Brooks House Center for Public Service and Engaged Scholarship.
