He is an alumnus of the Center for Public Service & Engaged Scholarship at Harvard College, where he served as a Service to Society Fellow. In the Service to Society Fellow role, Pedro assisted the Center with assessments, residential housing, communications, and programming; special projects included advising the Harvard College student-member Public Service Representatives and the Service to Society First-Year Council, brokering relationships with other units and departments, planning for the student-run Undergraduate Public Service Journal, and the inaugural Harvard College-wide Day of Service. Pedro is passionate about research, teaching, and mentoring, and was the founder of a chess club for incarcerated youth at the Judge John J. Connelly Youth Center in the greater Boston.
