#  Special Needs Youth Work 

 



This one-time elective provides information about working with youth with special learning needs in afterschool and mentoring program settings. There will be time for questions about individual issues that have come up in your service experience. The session will be facilitated by Ann Cheng, a special-needs certified Cambridge Public Schools teacher who is an alum of Harvard College and former PBHA director. **The training covers:**- Understanding learning and developmental needs in teaching
- Tutoring and mentoring inclusive setting
- Not covering autism or cerebral palsy or down syndrome that would require fully separate one on one
