The Mindich Program in Engaged Scholarship (MPES) aims to stimulate faculty innovations in teaching and learning through the development of applied and experiential learning experiences in or with community beyond the Harvard context. By transcending the boundaries of the classroom, the MPES aims to link academics to real-world questions, problems, and opportunities, challenging students to integrate scholarship with community perspectives, knowledge, and expertise.
The MPES announces a new initiative to support Harvard College Writing Program faculty innovations in teaching and learning through the development of freshman writing courses that integrate academics and community engagement.
Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), we invite proposals from Preceptors in the Writing Program, for funds to support the development of Engaged Scholarship-Expos courses. Proposals may be for the development of new courses, as well as for the substantive redesign of existing courses
