2019 Legacy Prize for Creativity in Service

The FAS Standing Committee on Public Service, an integral part of the Phillips Brooks House Center for Public Service and Engaged Scholarship, is now accepting nominations for the Creativity Foundation’s Benjamin Franklin Legacy Prize for Creativity and Service. The Legacy Prize recipient is required to participate in a full awards weekend in Washington, DC. Date and location have not yet been determined.

The Legacy Prize recipient will represent public service and Harvard at events with five other students, representing other fields and schools. While dates have not yet been determined, these activities will include a reception on a Friday night followed by a Saturday award ceremony, round table and panels, and a Sunday brunch. The award recipient will also become an ongoing member of the Creativity Foundation Junto that seeks to foster creativity and communication among leaders across various disciplines.

All current students who have demonstrated a strong commitment to public service (inclusive of any service programs at Harvard or beyond), thoughtful leadership and vision, and exemplified creativity and innovation in their service activities are eligible for consideration.

Nominations, including self-nominations, should be submitted via the link below. Please note that all nominees will need one (1) letter of recommendation from a professional reference. References should submit their letter of recommendation using the link below. Nominations and recommendations should be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11th. DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 2/15/19 @ 11:59PM EST!!!
