Alice Chen

Former First-Year Representative (2022-2023)
Alice Chen is a first-year living in Thayer pursuing a concentration in possibly Neuroscience or Integrative Biology with a secondary in Ethnicity, Migration, and Rights. She grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and Fuzhou, Fujian. Coming from a Chinese immigrant background, her identity and experiences with interacting with marginalized communities have empowered her to create affirming, equitable, and inclusive spaces for everyone in navigating unfamiliarity. Previously, she has worked with her local chapter of American Red Cross through the Harvard College SPARK Program in distributing resources and expanding accessibility about disaster preparedness in low-income neighborhoods. Alice looks forward to supporting immigrant communities through PBHA’s Chinatown Afterschool and Citizenship Program. Through service, she hopes to uplift the voices unheard and develop the necessary skills to enact social change. In her free time, she enjoys studio art, learning languages, and caring for her plants.
