Christopher Hidalgo
2023-2024 Public Service Student Representative - Cabot House
Christopher Hidalgo is a Junior in Cabot House pursuing a concentration in Sociology with a secondary in Government. He grew up in Inwood, Manhattan where he was surrounded by other Dominicans. On campus, he is involved with the Dominican Student’s Association, the Harvard Foundation for Cultural and Race Relations, First-Gen Low-Income student advocacy, and his house committee as social chair. For the past two summers, Christopher has been involved with PBHA, first with the Summer Urban Program in Roxbury, and more recently with the Y2Y Harvard Square Homeless Shelter. Y2Y is the nation’s first student-run youth homeless shelter where students from all over Boston come together to provide services to unhoused youth. This year, after working as an overnight supervisor and case manager, he will be working as the Director of Fundraising, soliciting donations for operational costs and providing better case management services to his guests. Christopher is super excited to bring attention to the issue of homelessness to his peers and build lasting relationships with donors.
