emily corbiere bates
emily corbiere bates is a Master of Divinity '26 candidate at Harvard Divinity School serving as one of the Pathways to Practice Graduate Assistants for 2025-26. With a background in regenerative agriculture, public programs and climate activism, they are studying climate chaplaincy with a specific focus on farmers, activists and young people grappling with the climate crisis. In addition to their work with the Center for Public Service and Engaged Scholarship, they work with the Climate Psychology Alliance - North America, a non-profit network of mental health practitioners offering climate aware therapy. During their time at Harvard, they founded the HDS Farmer Collective and participated in the Climate Leaders Program for Professional Students at Harvard, the Harvard Kennedy School Climate Internship Program and the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability Student Ambassador Program. In the Spring, they will serve as a Teaching Assistant for a course on climate change jointly offered by Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Divinity School.
