Emory Paul
2023-2024 Public Service Student Representative - Cabot House
Emory Paul is a junior in Cabot House pursuing a concentration in Government with a secondary in Sociology. With an interest in ending homelessness and alleviating poverty, Emory hopes to address these intertwined issues through public interest law and policy making. As a Cabot House Public Service Representative, he is excited to bring Cabotians together through public service initiatives that allow each person to identify their role in the fight to mitigate housing insecurity. Emory is also eager to guide students through the world of public service and assist them in identifying how they can use their unique abilities to help solve an issue of their concern. During the past two summers, Emory participated in the Harvard Clubs Summer Community Service Fellowship and the Mindich Service Fellowship through which he gained experience in the affordable housing and poverty research sectors. At Harvard, Emory co-directs the street outreach team at the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter and plays on the club basketball team. Outside of Harvard, he supports the Housing Unit at the Greater Boston Legal Services and volunteers for Spare Change News.
