Jen Holleran

Philanthropic Advisor and Consultant, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative
Jen Holleran advises philanthropic donors on education initiatives, presently in the Boston area, where she is also loving prioritizing time on the education, development and nurturing (and fun) of her twin nine-year-old sons. She spent most of the last ten years launching and leading Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan’s education philanthropy. She worked with Mark and Priscilla from their earliest investments in citywide school improvement in Newark, to Bay Area education equity and schools investments, to supporting the visioning and development of The Primary School, to launching and building out their broad work on personalized learning and helping launch CZI. She is committed to education as one of the fundamental drivers of equity and opportunity, and the need to create more equitable, personalized and student-centered opportunities for all young people and the critical role of teachers and school leaders.   Jen started her career as a teacher and principal. She holds her MBA from Yale, BA and MEd from Harvard.  She is a Pahara fellow. Jen serves as a trustee of Phillips Exeter Academy, Lincoln School Foundation and others.
