Manuel José González

Former First-Year Representative (2022-2023)

Manuel José González is a freshman living in Grays who plans to concentrate in Economics and Government. He was born, raised and educated all his life in the mountainous city of Medellin, Colombia. With an interest in creating better opportunities for developing countries, he dedicated his high school years to leading social work with Venezuelan migrants in his city. Given his passion for community service, during Holy Week 2022 he traveled as a missionary of the Society of Jesus to rural communities, bringing food, clothing and other necessities. During his time at Harvard, he wants to expand public service opportunities and inspire more of his peers to get involved. His favorite food is Colombian arepa, but he likes burgers as well.
