Nicolas Pantelick

2023-2024 Public Service Student Representative - Pforzheimer House

Nic grew up in San Francisco, and the unconscionable dual realities of homelessness and extreme wealth in the Bay Area strongly influenced his perspective on public service. Throughout high school, he volunteered at organizations that fought to end the systematic dehumanization of the unhoused community. He has continued this work at Harvard and hopes to connect his House community in Pfoho to the broader Cambridge community through service in his second year as a Public Service Representative.

Nic has also previously worked in Morocco and Tunisia on direct public service initiatives with local, governmental, and private partners to foster sustainable economic development, increase women’s educational participation, and assist NGOs across numerous issues. A crucial facet of these endeavors involved conversations with the impacted community members to gauge their areas of greatest need and foster a shared vision for a more equitable future. Additionally, last summer, Nic interned with the UN Development Programme (UNDP) in New York City at the Regional Bureau for Africa (RBA), gaining a familiarity with the international institutional approach to public service.

In his free time, Nic enjoys late-night DJing for the college radio (WHRB), playing on the men’s club soccer, discussing international affairs with peers, and attending concerts and trying new restaurants around Boston.”
