Saddat Nazir
Saddat Nazir is a junior at Harvard College pursuing a double concentration in Neuroscience and Government. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, he is proud to have been raised in a community that fostered his passion for civic engagement and youth empowerment. In college, he continued service-oriented work through the Center for Public Service and Engaged Scholarship (CPSES) and the Harvard Global Health Initiative (HGHI), interning at Greater Boston Legal Services over the past summer. He was fortunate to work at a pro-bono legal firm where he gained invaluable experience in the field of disability claims and health care advocacy. Through this opportunity, he was excited to learn more about the intersections between health and science inequities with policy, areas that offer numerous ethical and legal implications that he hopes to explore further.
In his free time, he writes for Harvard International Review as well, focusing on the development of AI policy and research. He is fascinated by the future of biomedical applications in approaching global issues, foreign policy, and international governance. On campus, he conducted research with the Council on Strategic Risks on applicable policies to deter bioweapon proliferation and address U.S foreign policy on AI and technology. He was also previously involved in the Phillip Brooks House as a First-Year Council member and has acted as a WNET Youth Council member, mentoring high school students on media literacy and engagement.
