Abby Zachary is a junior at Harvard College studying political theory, philosophy, and history. During her time at Harvard so far, Abby has been deeply involved in the public service community, serving as a Director of the Housing Opportunities Program, a Director of the Harvard Square Summer Shelter, and as a Public Service Representative — both as a first-year rep and now, excitedly, as a Dunster House Representative! Before coming to Harvard, Abby dedicated ten months of her life to service with the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps, through which she worked with food banks across California, social service organizations in the Sacramento area, and environmental nonprofits outside of Portland, Oregon to aid communities across the west coast. She is a co-founder of Rhizome — a national nonprofit organization that trains high school students to become civic leaders — and was heavily involved in voter registration efforts and political advocacy ahead of the 2020 elections. Abby is very happy to be returning to the Public Service Rep team, and is eager to foster a service-oriented community in Dunster House!
