Daniella O. Saforo is a rising sophomore at Harvard University pursuing a concentration in Government, a secondary in Education, and a language citation in French, with a focus on public policy. She was born in Ghana then immigrated to the United States as a teenager; her identity and experiences as an immigrant and a first-generation student motivated her interests in international education policy, education equity, and immigration policy. At Harvard, she serves as Co-President in the Harvard Francophone Society, a research team lead in the Institute of Politics’ policy team, a chair of the Health Education Seminar in Harvard Undergraduate Partners for Action in Africa, and Director of Programming in the ​​Harvard Undergraduate African Policy and Development Initiative.  Her hobbies include dancing, writing on African and Francophone politics, singing, and playing basketball. Her favorite food is rice balls and peanut soup! In the future, she wants to become a lawyer or policy analyst in order to domestically and globally advocate for marginalized students.
