Kashish Bastola

Kashish Bastola is an education advocate from Texas. He has provided testimony to his school board, the Texas Senate, and Congress in support of student voice and equity in public school systems. As a student at Harvard, he has worked with the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and has been vocal about education access through recruitment, admissions, financial aid, and post-matriculation resources. Kashish's family hails from Nepal, and he has been involved in advocacy efforts to increase the academic and social presence of underrepresented Asian American groups on campus through his leadership with the Asian American Association. As a student board member of Harvard CIVICS, the Radcliffe Institute, and the Institute of Politics, he is interested in youth civic engagement and was the recipient of the Harvard College Civic Engagement Award.
